We are pleased and proud to have presented our second Cambridge Jazz Festival on April 26, 2026. This festival was carefully curated to present a variety of excellent award-winning artists, music for everyone!

The Ralf Buschmeyer Quintet made a few jaws drop with Ralf’s incredible guitar mastery, while our second performer, the Alfredo Caxaj’s Latin Jazz Ensemble surprised many of our patrons who did not realize how much they appreciated Latin Jazz, and absolutely loved their performance! Many people were blown away by the uplifting messages and music of the phenomenal Kellylee Evans and The Shuffle Demons did not disappoint with their hot sax offerings, crazy antics and festival-ending conga line, snaking throughout the audience at the amazing Tapestry Hall.

I am most appreciative of our committee of Karen Phillips, Vivian Yang, Robin Shupe, Jonathan Lunn and Ruth Ottenbrite who rose to the occasion and exceeded my expectations to help create a one-of-a-kind festival and a lifelong memory for many within our community!

And a festival does not spin like a top without the efforts of our dedicated group of festival day volunteers Margaret, Brian, Carrie, Dave, Natalie, Scott, Nichole, Sam, Dan, Donna, Robin, Jonathan, Ruth and last but certainly not least, Linda and Lynda! And special thanks to Vivian Yang for greeting our patrons with her lovely piano offerings when we opened our doors. Forever thanks to all!

The festival may be over, but certainly not the great music that we are presenting as our gift to our city with our monthly Galt Jazz series! This summer we will present our 50th consecutive monthly show in support of our downtown core!

Last Sundays, 2-5pm from May-September. Don’t forget to bring a chair, relax, enjoy!

I would also like to thank all of our partners who helped along the way to furnish prizes, donate money, help with marketing and so many levels of assistance. You are all great advocates of community cooperation!
